Trading hours that exist outside of the regular session. In the U.S. stock market, the extended market includes pre-market and after-hours trading. Pre-market open at 4:00 a.m. eastern time, but many brokers don’t allow retail trade behavior 7:00 a.m. eastern. After-hours trading ends at 8:00 p.m. eastern.
